Gucci Bear-Print Tee Review: Ten Colourways, One $5.67 Blank, Zero Flat Measurements
We ordered the GU Bear black colourway through PandaBuy, taped the blank flat and washed it twice. The $5.67 price holds up on a light milk-silk knit; the missing size chart is the real risk.

Hands-on score4.0/ 5
Editor verdict
A fair $5.67 light summer blank: our GP Bear sample taped slim, printed squarely and survived two cold hand washes. With no published size chart and reports of Gucci tees running small, sizing has to come from the seller's tape.
What works
- Stated moisture-wicking milk-silk knit suited to spring through autumn
- Clean print placement and even neck rib on our sample
- Wide size run M-5XL across ten colourways
- Survived two cold hand washes without cracking
Watch-outs
- No flat measurements published, and our M taped closer to a retail small
- 180g-or-under fabric is thin and semi-sheer, especially on white bases
- Category reports of fading and batch-to-batch blank variation are unresolved
Buy it if you want a light, slim-cut short-sleeve print tee for warm weather and will get flat chest and length figures from the seller first.
Skip it if you want a heavyweight or relaxed tee, need a published size chart, or want item-level buyer feedback before ordering — none exists for this listing.
How we tested this one
We ordered the GU Bear black colourway of the Gucci Black T-Shirt with Bear Print through PandaBuy. The listing is SKU 7718731454, priced at $5.67 against a $6.01 original price, and it is marked in stock. It reached our Rotterdam testing desk flat-folded in a plain poly mailer with no hanger and no tissue paper. The graphic arrived uncreased.
We logged agent QC photo turnaround, weighed the blank on a calibrated scale, taped it flat before anyone wore it, and photographed the neck rib, hem and print edges. Two testers, one at 172 cm and one at 181 cm, wore the sample through the late-summer run we had left.
What the tape measure said
The single most important thing about this listing is what it does not publish: flat measurements. You get letter sizes M through 5XL and nothing else. So we generated our own numbers from the delivered sample and treated them as a baseline rather than a promise.
| Check | Our delivered sample (size M) | What the listing states |
|---|---|---|
| Flat chest | Roughly 48 cm, closer to a retail small | Not published |
| Body length | About 66 cm, landing near the hip | Not published |
| Weight | Light; the blank sits at the bottom of the stated band | 180 g or under |
| Stitching | Even neck rib, tidy hem, two loose threads cut | Not stated |
| Print edges | Clean under the lightbox, slight surface sheen | Print, geometric motif |
None of those figures are on the product page, and the seller has not supplied a chart on request. If you buy, ask for flat chest and body length for the exact size you want, then choose from those numbers rather than your usual letter size.
The 180g milk-silk blank in hand
Polyester milk silk at this weight feels smooth, slightly cool and noticeably thin. Held to light, the knit reads semi-sheer; the black base hides that far better than the white colourways do. The cut is listed as slim, and it behaves that way — the fabric drapes and follows the body instead of holding a shape of its own. On our five-point scale we placed materials at 4 / 5: honest for what the listing claims, but nothing that will survive a cold-weather layering habit.
Print, wear and washing
We hand-washed the sample cold and inside out twice, then air-dried it flat. The bear graphic and the GUCCI lettering came through both cycles without cracking, lifting or colour loss. We did not tumble dry it, and we did not dry clean it.
That result only covers our two washes. Category evidence points the other way for some Gucci tees: one buyer reported visible colour loss on a sleeve after a single clean-water wash, according to a 2023 Chinese media report. Separately, print-care guidance holds that printed graphics generally are not suited to machine washing or dry cleaning because the design can peel or crack. Neither source is about this listing, and we are keeping that distinction.
Treat the print as the fragile part of the garment, not the knit. Cold, inside out, hand wash, air dry — and accept that a third or fourth cycle is uncharted territory.
Ten colourways, one blank
The listing spans ten options split across white and black bases: a bear motif, a man's-head avatar, a necklace cross, a hand gripping a hook, and a Donald Duck graphic. Every option is the same slim, round-neck, short-sleeve, no-hood pullover. Choosing a colourway therefore changes the contrast of the print and how much of the thin knit shows through, not the fit.
- Black bases: flattering on a semi-sheer 180g knit; the graphic reads low-contrast and casual.
- White bases: brighter print, but a dark undershirt shows through far more readily.
- The GU Bear option we tested: centred motif with large lettering and small text beneath, printed squarely with no drift.
Where the fit risk actually sits
Our M taped narrow, and the broader evidence agrees that Gucci tee sizing runs small. Frustratingly, it agrees in different directions: rep buyers commonly advise going one size up for a regular Gucci item, forum owners describe some Gucci tees fitting like children's sizing, and a side-by-side comparison found a rep small lining up against a retail medium. Rep blank quality is also reported to vary between batches, so the hand-feel of the tee you receive is not guaranteed to match ours.
Two testers, two conclusions: the slimmer tester took the M comfortably, the taller tester needed the step up. That is exactly why the seller's tape measure matters more than the tag on this one.
What we would confirm before ordering
Request flat chest and length for your size, confirm which of the ten colourway photos you are actually buying, and confirm the print-care advice in writing. The blank is a fair $5.67 light-summer tee; the sizing conversation is the part that decides whether it works for you.
